Save Games for Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal

Although Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal actually only has one save slot throughout
the entire game, I archived it several times during my adventures to create the
series you see here. The archives each contain both the save game slot file and
the configuration file.

I never wanted to catch all 77 fairies in the entire game. Instead, I went for
creating a reasonable/sensible deck of fairies where especially the nature, ice
and psi fairies were used often. I made good use of the proper fairies against
the corresponding weak opponents, rarely losing fights against the single wild
fairies. Although I didn't procrastinate much, I did check out all the blocked
locations behind bushes, stones and air eddies that I found. Also, I usually
always accepted a challenge from a wild fairy, further training my own fairies.

In general, I have the following notes about these save games:

  * The five most used fairies, the deck I brought during most of the last
half of the game, had the following statistics in the last save game
just before fighting the guard and his five metal fairies:

	Name Type Level XP

	Gorael Air L-37 4658
	Greez Ice L-42 6393
	Oceana Water L-43 5580
	Symgot Nature L-59 15000
	Clum Psi L-41 4860

All these fairies were evolved at the predefined points except Clum,
which I read in an FAQ was better off not evolving the last time.

  * Other fairies used sporadically (or only early in the game) has the
following statistics also in the last save game:

	Name Type Level XP

	Gremor Stone L-31 2169
	Darbue Energy L-20 990
	Flagwin Fire L-19 871

All the other fairies that I caught were not used or trained at all.

  * In the last save game, I had collected 32 of 77 fairies, 26 of 30
pixies, collected all runes and maps, and still had 2033 fairy coins
and 33 crystals. I believe I found most (if not all) the special items
such as the cloverleaf, fairy horn, etc.

The last save game states that it took me 21 hours and 52 minutes to complete
Zanzarah. It felt a lot longer than that (it took me five long sessions).
